Man Falls from Ellison Bay Bluff

A 28-year-old man fell more than 100 feet off a cliff at Door Bluff Headlands County Park in Ellison Bay Tuesday, July 26.

Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel said the man was walking with friends along the bluff when he got too close to the edge and fell over the edge onto the rocks below around 3 pm Tuesday. After responders took the man by boat to a nearby boat launch, the man was transferred to the Eagle III rescue helicopter to Green Bay with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Vogel said it was reported to him that the man was talking to rescuers after he fell.

Vogel said he heard reports that the man fell anywhere from 100 to 200 feet.

In Baileys Harbor Wednesday morning a man suffered a seizure while out on a fishing boat. First responders arrived at the marina at approximately 7:45 am and boarded a boat from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to get to the man’s fishing boat. There was no word on his condition.
