Man Killed in Washington Island Crash

A one-vehicle crash killed a Washington Island man Saturday, Nov. 9.

Roark Scott Kraft Davidson was killed early Saturday morning when he lost control of the 1993 Cadillac Deville he was driving southbound on Main Road at 2:25 am. The vehicle crossed the northbound lane and struck a large tree on the east side of the road, according to a preliminary investigation.

The road was snow-covered at the time of the crash. Roark was pronounced dead at the scene.

Personnel and equipment from the Washington Island Police Department, Washington Island Fire Department and Washington Island Rescue Squad responded to the scene. 

The Door County Traffic Reconstruction Team is assisting the Washington Island Police Department with the investigation of the crash. An autopsy was conducted Monday by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office. The crash investigation remains open pending the autopsy report.
