Mardi Gras Potluck at Jacksonport Church

Jameson Hall at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Nativity will be filled with the fragrant smells of traditional Louisiana cooking on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 13, for Mardi Gras. The night before Ash Wednesday in Creole and Cajun culture is the culmination of “carnival” – one last fling before the 40 days of Lenten self-denial. Members of Holy Nativity and Christ the King invite all to bring their favorite Louisiana-inspired dishes to share at a potluck feast beginning at 5 pm in the fellowship hall at the historic church, located at 3434 County V, just west of downtown Jacksonport. The next day, Ash Wednesday, Fr. Olin Sletto will lead services at Christ the King Church (Fifth Ave. and Michigan St., Sturgeon Bay) at noon and at Holy Nativity at 4 pm.
