Marina Park Painted Orange

People decked out in orange turned out in droves to support Bo Johnson, a Sister Bay Boy who is currently at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Photo by Katie Sikora.

Marina Park in Sister Bay was painted orange on the evening of June 24.

Friends of Bo Johnson turned out in droves for a candlelight vigil for the Gibraltar 8th grader who is facing his toughest test yet in his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Johnson is being treated at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, where he has been for much of the last nine months with his mother, Annika. After several rounds of chemotherapy, Johnson is now undergoing Total Body Radiation treatment to attack the cancer, which has spread to his bones.
