Maritime on Madison Street Festival Arrives Aug. 13

Calling all pirates, scallywags and landlubbers! Shine up your boots, put on your eye patch and sail down to Maritime on Madison street festival, Aug. 13, 11 am – 5 pm.

Stroll the decks along Madison Avenue from Maple to Oak Streets, jigging and swinging to music by Whiskey Ditch and Glas Hamr.

Test your luck in the raffle for treasure and buy yourself some swag at the exclusive in-store specials and sales of the Madison Avenue shops. Artists and crafters will sell their wares along the decks, too.

Hunt around in the pirate scavenger hunt – find a map at Bay Shore Outfitters (27 S. Madison Ave). Finish the hunt by collecting pieces of a pirate costume at the various landmarks. After you’re dressed like a pirate, bounce off some energy in the bounce houses, make your mark on the monster mural, and hang out with real pirates during a special appearance by the Pirates of the Harbour.

Polish up your boat, untangle the holiday lights, and shake out your best costumes – it’s time for the annual Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club Venetian Night Boat Parade. Registration is free; membership to the yacht club is not necessary. The two most creatively decorated boats win prizes.

Fireworks complete the maritime celebration over the Sturgeon Bay Canal at 9:30 pm.
