Mark Your Calendars for Art Crawl Weekend

Just when you think Door County’s festival atmosphere is falling with the leaves, two of the peninsula’s biggest art crawls will take place. Mark your calendars for the weekend of Oct. 21-22 for the Sturgeon Bay Fall Art Crawl and up north, the Ellison Bay Art Crawl.

The event in Sturgeon Bay – featuring 38 artists showing works from their homes, galleries and studios in ceramics, jewelry, pastels, photos, glasswork and more – takes place 10 am – 4 pm each day. A kickoff party will be held Oct. 20, 4 pm – 7 pm, at the Miller Art Museum’s M3, 42 S. 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay, for refreshments and camaraderie.

Head north the same weekend to feast your eyes, palate and spirit while celebrating art in the Ellison Bay Fall Art Crawl, 10 am – 5 pm each day. Galleries, pottery, paintings, boutique items, art demonstrations, welcoming gardens, the natural beauty of the Clearing and refreshments at local businesses all contribute to the weekend – as do the beautiful orchards, wildflower fields, scenic barns, bluffs and water views.

Check out the Oct. 20 issue of the Peninsula Pulse for complete coverage of these popular events.
