Martha Coaty Showcasing at Glas

“The Friesian” by Martha Coaty

Martha Coaty is currently displaying her photography at Glas Coffeehouse in Sturgeon Bay through March. The exhibit, “Door County Wisconsin and other Northern Places,” features architecture and animals.

“I love old rustic surfaces and the sight of dogs and horses who seem to understand what I am doing when I take their photograph,” said Coaty, first place winner of last year’s Peninsula Pulse’s Photography Jubilee. “These are portraits of a time gone by with lingering personality.”

Coaty works with a digital SLR camera and uses high-end photographic processing to produce her images. She has practiced photography for 30 years. Learn more about her work at http://www.marthacoatyphotography.com.

Glas showcases the work of a new artist each month and is currently seeking artists for 2013. Those interested are encouraged to email photos of their work to Tammy VanDenBusch at [email protected].

Glas, the green coffeehouse, provides quality coffee, loose-leaf tea, espresso drinks, food items, live music on select days and free Wi-Fi Internet service. To learn more about events and specials, visit http://www.glascoffee.com.
