Martha Egan Returns to Wisconsin for Lit Festival

Author Martha Egan returns to her home state for a special appearance in October to promote her award-winning novel, An Apricot Year. Egan, a native of Green Bay, Wis., relocated to New Mexico where she’s operated a Latin American folk art store in Santa Fe for more than 40 years. While New Mexico has become her main residence, each summer she still spends some time at a family property in Egg Harbor.

From Oct. 4 – 6, she’ll participate in the Washington Island Literary Festival, discussing An Apricot Year. Egan received nine awards for the novel from PubWest Book Design Awards, IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards, NMBA SW Book Design Award; ForeWord Magazine, IPPY and NM Press.

Other notable Wisconsin writers will join Egan at the festival including: Jean Feraca, Bruce Dethlefsen, Terese Allen, Norman Gillaland and Dick Purinton. Programming also includes a Saturday night dinner, and a Sunday excursion to Rock Island. For fees and information, visit truebloodpac.com or call Islandtime Books at 920.847.2565.
