This summer, Martinez Studio will re-issue favorite items in celebration of their twentieth anniversary: glasses, candles, vases and shopping bags. All decorated with Sandra’s distinctive symbols and a riot of color. Back by popular demand, Sandra is also working on a handful of new zippered totes and large clutches with vintage fabrics.
After a few years’ hiatus, the Martinez Fiesta is back. Come celebrate on July 12, 3-7 pm at the studio. Featuring Wence’s famous salsa, tacos, munchies, beverages, music, art, family and friends.
From July 13 – Oct. 5, paintings and tapestries from Martinez Studio will be featured at Kohler ARTspace in the Shops at Woodlake, the satellite gallery of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan. Wence and Sandra’s work will be part of a show titled “Black and White and a Bit of Color.”
“We were thrilled to learn that our work will be appearing at ARTspace by special request from Ruth Kohler herself, one of the outstanding leaders and visionaries of the art world,” says Sandra. “The PBS/WI Public Television video profile of us will run alongside our work, giving visitors an inside look at our story and process.”
Martinez Studio, open 11 am – 4 pm daily (except Tuesdays), is located at 5877 Highway 57 in Jacksonport. For more information call 920.823.2154 or visit martinezstudio.com.
