Master Gardeners Explore Color in the Garden

The Door County Master Gardeners will present two Continuing Education Programs at the Crossroads in Big Creek in February. Each program is free and will begin at 7 pm.

Feb. 21, Mark Dwyer of Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville, Wis., will present “Color in the Garden.” The program will discuss the important roll of color in selection and placement of plantings and structure in a garden.

Feb. 28, Juniper Sundance will present “Wild Rice-Our Native Treasure.” Sundance will discuss the places where real wild rice still grows, its importance to wildlife, how to care for it and what is involved in harvesting it.
