Master Gardeners Free Public Programs at Crossroads

Join the Door County Master Gardeners Association at a free public program, “Garden Containers – Think Outside the Box!” on March 6 at 7 pm at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. Caleb Whitney and Kristen Peil, owners of Green Side Up based in Baileys Harbor, will introduce Door County gardeners to the world of garden containers. Containers are used in commercial and home gardens of all sizes, and the gardeners of Green Side Up are happy to share their imaginative and informed experience with the creation and maintenance of garden containers.

March 13 at 7 pm the Master Gardeners will present another program at the Crossroads, “It’s Not My Fault! Common Garden Mistakes,” featuring Jason Feldman of Jason Feldman Landscapes. Feldman will help gardeners avoid making those gardening mistakes that are so often not only embarrassing to look at, but also very costly in time and treasure.

“I plan to uncover many of the myths associated with gardening over the last 40 plus years and show you how science will make you a better gardener and save you time and money,” said Feldman.

Crossroads at Big Creek is located at 2041 Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay. For more information call 920.868.1749.
