In celebration of neon, Michael Jackson, hairbands and spiked punch, Maxwelton Braes Lodge and Thyme Cuisine present Prom Night Back to the ‘80s on May 12.
For one night, Maxwelton Braes takes guests back in time to when Madonna was queen and Mötley Crüe was king. The evening starts with a spiked punch cocktail hour at 6 pm and guests are encouraged to take their photo prom-style in front of the ‘80s-inspired backdrop complete with Polaroid print-outs. Attendees are encouraged to dress in ‘80s garb.
Guests can take to the dance floor and enjoy the decade beats from DJ Hope Reyes from 7-11 pm and a full bar with heavy appetizers. In true prom fashion, a King and Queen are crowned, based upon the best threads and dance moves.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Maxwelton offers an $89 room package to include an evening in a lodge room.
A Delightful Day Floral Design is selling formal corsages for the event including The Prince (purples), The Madonna (pinks), or The Billy Idol (whites). Corsages are $15 each.
Thyme Cuisine is open for dinner before prom. Dinner is $25 per person and includes a salad, entree and dessert. Tickets are on sale at doorcountytickets.com.
