The 29th annual Sturgeon Bay Rotary Shipyard Tour, set for May 7, is sold out. To improve the experience for all quests, 1,000 tickets with designated entry time slots were available online prior to the event.
For one day each year, Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding opens its doors to the public for tours of the Great Lakes maritime shipyard industry. The Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay thanks employees and retirees for making this an informational event and its volunteers for supporting the event.
The Door County Maritime Museum – filled with opportunities for maritime lovers to explore and learn about local shipbuilding history – will offer half-off admission May 7-8 to those who purchased tickets for the shipyard tour.
All proceeds from tour tickets go to Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay grants to Door County charities in the areas of affordable housing, child care, youth scholarships and environmental projects.
