Mazibuko’s Latest Book Chronicles His Childhood

To satisfy those who wished he had spoken of his childhood in his first book, This Side Up, Robert Mazibuko has written Retracing Steps, which reflects on his life prior to moving to the United States.

Mazibuko was born and raised in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where he received most of his education, but he completed his university studies in America. Mazibuko served as a traveling teacher for the Bahá’í faith in South Africa and Swaziland and served on the Bahá’í National Spiritual Assembly of South Africa for 10 years.

In this book, the author reflects on the notion that one is expected to navigate life at a young, unaware age; then, upon attaining the maturity of later years, one wonders at all the earlier foolishness. At that point, there may be nothing to do but to meditate on life and face reality, whether it’s good or bad.

Mazibuko has also published five other books. Learn more about Retracing Steps and purchase a copy at rosedogbookstore.com/retracing-steps.
