Meadows Art Gallery Features Scandia Exhibit

“Suspended Sea Turtle” by Pat Smith done on a paper bag

The Meadows Art Gallery will feature a new exhibition titled “Scandia Village, Family and Friends” that will feature artists with a connection to the Scandia Village. The artists may be residents, employees, relatives either family or extended family but they all are making art and are in many different stages in their careers.

Traditional two-dimensional as well as some three dimensional art forms are featured but so is poetry and written art. Painting, sculpture, rug hooking, drawings will be featured. The poetry is a forerunner of a large show that will take place this summer with some members of three Door County poetry groups participating. This is possible because of the work and support of all members in the Scandia Village. The Meadows Gallery was created as a place where artists both beginning and established can find exhibition space.

The Meadows Art Gallery is located in the Scandia Village in Sister Bay. The reception will be on Feb. 21 from 2 – 4 pm.
