Meditation is a popular source for stress relief and other benefits, and it can be easily learned. In the Meditation 101 workshop, participants will discuss and practice different types of meditation and learn about its benefits and the meditation used in yoga. No yoga experience is needed. Participants will leave with the ability to incorporate this peaceful practice into everyday life. Instructor Jamie Schmiling will hold the class Jan. 19, 10-11:30 am at Roots Yoga, 400 Second St. in Algoma. The cost is $15 per person for the 90-minute workshop. Class packages may not be used.
