Meet-and-Greet with Anne Emerson on Nov. 23

Novel Bay Booksellers will host an author meet-and-greet with Anne Emerson, author of Doodle Love, on Nov. 23, 12 pm. The store welcomes all pets, and treats will be provided to humans and their fur babies.

Longtime Door County resident Anne Emerson has produced an enchanting picture book about the dog breed she loves, and Molly Johnson’s artwork captures the breed’s cuteness. Youngsters and adults will treasure the result.

Emerson was instrumental in building the Door Community Auditorium and earned the Governor’s Award in Support of the Arts in 1987 and the Visual Arts Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. She has also received the Door County Community Foundation’s Philanthropist of the Year Award. She’s a founder and board member of Write On, Door County, so a portion of the book sales during this event will go to Write On’s Build a Writing Center campaign.
