Meet-and-Greet

Franne Dickinson, author of the book Stay at the Party Long…at play in the ARTS, will present a book signing on Dec. 13 at Alexander’s Restaurant in Fish Creek from 3 to 5 pm. Dickinson will read from her book and answer any questions. Refreshments, courtesy of Alexander’s, will be offered during the meet-and-greet. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

Stay at the Party Long…at play in the ARTS has been a labor of love that has been many years in the making. “I wasn’t always an artist,” Dickinson says, “and this book is my way of encouraging others to discover their inner artist and start their own journey in the arts.” The book grew out of a series of classes Dickinson taught at Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek and combines numerous full-page reproductions of her paintings with advice, quotes and vignettes from her own life.

The book is available for purchase at select local retailers as well as from Dickinson directly. The book may also be purchased on Dickinson’s website, frannedickinson.net.
