Meet Authors During Novel Bay’s July Events

Novel Bay Books’ upcoming author events will give readers a chance to chat with published writers, learn more about their books and buy a personalized, signed copy.

Retired Sturgeon Bay educator Dan Powers will be signing copies of How Long A Shadow on July 17, 2-4 pm. The story entwines the stories of three generations of Cullerton men as each chooses how to deal with family, marriage, fatherhood and each other. The book recently earned a Recommended Read in the 2021 Author Shout Reader Ready Awards.

Wisconsin author Bev Davis will sign copies of her award-winning children’s book, Winging It! A Monarch Love Story on July 24, 1-4 pm. It provides both a heartwarming story about a grandmother/granddaughter bond and instructions about how to raise a caterpillar as it transforms into a butterfly.

Margaret Hermes’ latest book, The Opposite of Chance, is a thought-provoking story about a woman’s journey to understand herself and her role in the world. Hermes will sign copies July 25, 1-3 pm.

Local author Tom Davis explores the world of autism in his latest novel, 

Apples for the Wild Stallion. He will sign copies and chat about the book’s themes July 31, 6-8 pm.Novel Bay Booksellers (novelbaybooks.com), 44 N. 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay, is open Monday – Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm; and Sunday, 10 am – 4 pm.
