Meet Mystery Author Roger Simpson

Mystery lovers and anyone else who enjoys a compelling story can meet Roger Simpson – a criminal-trial-lawyer-turned-author – on Aug. 10, 1-4 pm, at Novel Bay Booksellers, ​​44 N. 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay, where he’ll be signing copies of his debut murder-mystery novel, The Truth in Hope. 

Simpson drew from his 45 years of legal experience to craft a story full of investigation details, drama and suspense. In his book, the body of a 26-year-old ne’er-do-well from an elite, North Shore Chicago family is found in Wisconsin’s Northwoods – half consumed by wildlife, with a single bullet hole in his head and even fewer witnesses – and veteran homicide detective Bennett Coleman must try to assemble the pieces of this perplexing puzzle.
