Open Door Bird Sanctuary (ODBS) will host a family-friendly event, Raptor Rambles, on Sept. 10, 6-8 pm, when participants can meet and learn about nighttime birds of prey.
Following a casual, sloppy-joe dinner and campfire in the picnic area, attendees will set out in small groups with trail maps to discover various owls out on the trail system. The resident raptors will be with a handler who will share all the cool things about their bird. The other viewing areas will also be open.
The ticket cost of $15 per adult and $8 per child 10 and younger includes the dinner and hike. The rain date is Sept. 11. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. To find out more and reserve a ticket, call Jillaine at 414.897.6569.
