Native American sculptor Mark Fischer will be at Fine Line Design Gallery’s Townline Art Fair on Oct. 12, 10 am – 5 pm; and Oct. 13, 10 am – 4 pm. See his art, and meet the artist and storyteller in person.
Woodland pictographs and petroglyphs, traditional Oneida beaded and porcupine quill-work patterns, and a love of nature inspire his storytelling copper sculptures, which honor his mother’s Native American heritage and the ancient copper culture of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
Fischer is a member of the Oneida Nation of Green Bay, Turtle Clan, and lives in Richfield, Wisconsin. He has earned numerous awards during the last 20 years, including three first-place ribbons at the Santa Fe Indian Market, two first-place ribbons at the Eiteljorg Museum Indian Market and two second-place ribbons at the Heard Museum Indian Market.
