Meeting to Watch: County Considering the Elimination of Virtual Comment Period

The full County Board is set to discuss at its April 18 meeting whether to continue to allow remote participants to speak during the public comment period. Remote viewing would still be available.

The upcoming discussion will take place during the board’s organizational meeting, April 18. That’s when the county reviews Rules of Order and the powers and duties of the board and its committees. The idea to eliminate the virtual comment period, and allow only in-person public comments, was recommended April 11 by the county’s Administrative Committee.
