Singer-songwriter and cellist melaniejane will be performing a special solo show on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 7:30 – 10 pm at the Fishing Hole in Sturgeon Bay.

While melaniejane spends most of her time on the road as a “happy side-guy/co-pilot” with pat mAcdonald in the duo Purgatory Hill, she does occasionally make time to showcase her own original works. With guitar, vocals, cello, piano, accordion, looping and now cigarbox guitar, her solo works continue to expand into new territories.

melaniejane first came to Sturgeon Bay in 2007 to participate as a performing writer in Steel Bridge SongFest. Since 2008, she has been a full-time resident of Sturgeon Bay and also a dedicated volunteer with both the festival and the Holiday Music Motel.

melaniejane has performed throughout the U.S. and has appeared with or opened for such artists as Sam Llamas (The BoDeans), Victor DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes), The Silos (Bloodshot Records), Sigmund Snopek, and Dick Parry (saxophonist from Pink Floyd) to name a few. Currently, she has two solo recordings, Flower and Billets Doux, which showcase her talents as a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and arranger.

The Fishing Hole is located at 6962 County Road M in Sturgeon Bay. For more information call 920.743.9814 or visit http://www.doorcountyscene.com/fishinghole or http://www.melaniejane.com.
