Melinda Myers Returns to The Clearing

The Clearing Folk School in Ellison Bay announce nationally syndicated gardening expert and author, Melinda Myers, will teach Workshop Program class called “Creating a Year-Round Landscape with Beauty & Interest.”
Myers will discuss planning and plant selection for interesting, year-round landscapes. She will also discuss using trees and shrubs to form the framework of your landscape, utilizing flowers, fruits, fall color and bark to provide garden appeal, and she will provide tips and tricks on drought resistant plantings.
Myers is a nationally known gardening expert and has more than 30 years of horticulture experience. She has written over 20 gardening books, including Can’t Miss Small Space Gardening, Month-by-Month Gardening in Wisconsin, The Garden Book for Wisconsin and The Wisconsin Lawn Guide. She hosts the nationally syndicated “Melinda’s Garden Moment” segments airing on 89 U.S. TV/radio stations, and is a columnist and contributing editor for Birds & Blooms magazine.
The class is scheduled for September 18 from 9 am – 4 pm at the Jens Jensen Visitor Center. Tuition for the workshop is $89 and includes a catered lunch. Registration is required as class size is limited.
