Members Requested to Close EYC for the Season

All Ephraim Yacht Club members are requested and encouraged to help close the EYC beginning at 9 am on Saturday, Aug. 31, to put away boat and dock equipment. Most projects should be finished by about 11:30 am. Beginning about the same time, the EYC will provide a burger and hot dog lunch for those who help (BYO chips and beverages). The picnic will also feature an awards ceremony (starting at noon) for the EYC’s 2013 series races. A crew of at least eight strong helpers will also be needed to flip over the EYC’s “McLal’s Single Malt” at Port Storage in Jacksonport so it can be painted over the winter by EYC member volunteer Mike Callahan. Plan to leave the EYC before 11 am and return before noon for the picnic and awards. The EYC relies heavily on its member volunteers to open and close the EYC each season, which helps hold down dues and makes the EYC accessible for all.
