Memorial Bricks Are Set at Alexander Noble House

The Memorial Bricks have been set, and the Gibraltar Historical Association (GHA) has a beautiful brick walkway leading visitors to its front and side porches. Honoree bricks have been placed on the walkway to raise money to refurbish their History Center, and residents and visitors alike order bricks to share a lasting memory on the paths. In 2015, we had two occasions to order bricks to honor individuals who made an outstanding contribution to history and preservation of Gibraltar’s past.

The first brick was to celebrate Head Docent Douglas Blahnik. He was their first docent to pave the way to share the story of Alexander Noble House and also the program director on planning the ongoing Gibraltar Talks programs.

The second brick is to show gratitude to Eunice Rutherford. As the former president of GHA, she is still always searching for more ways to teach history to young and old alike. Rutherford has been their backbone and go-to person for many years.
