Memorial Day Events at Edgewood Orchard Gallery

“Wild River” by James G. Moore

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host a Memorial Day Weekend Reception on May 26 from 4 – 7 pm. The reception will introduce featured artists David and Jeanne Aurelius, Marcia McDonough, James G. Moore and William A Suys, Jr. Introductions start at 5 pm and will be followed by brief remarks about the featured artwork in the “Door County Treasures” exhibit. Refreshments will be served, and the public is welcome.

On May 27, the Aureliuses will return to Edgewood’s courtyard from 1 – 3 pm to demonstrate the methods used to create their signature stoneware pieces. The husband and wife team will answer questions while they demonstrate the various steps in their creative process.

Also, bronze sculptor, Moore of Galeton, Colorado, will demonstrate the techniques behind his distinctive collection of bronze bells. The collection ranges from an outdoor, nine-feet tall Heron bell to several antique-style bronze doorbells.

The gallery’s well-loved sculpture garden will also be open, and visitors are invited to enjoy a walk through the garden to see over two dozen new sculptures on display.

Edgewood Orchard Galleries is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road, midway between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. For more information, call 920.868.3579 or visit http://www.edgewoodorchard.com.
