Four Mental Health Parent Cafés will be offered throughout the county during May. Parents are encouraged to attend one or all to discuss parenting and mental health, share stories, learn about resources and build friendships and support.
The topics will be the same at each event, but the conversations will differ because they’re built around a series of group questions and topics. Participants are encouraged to share, but all may choose what and how much to share.
Cafés will be held at the Northern Door YMCA on May 14, Southern Door Elementary School on May 16, Hope Church in Sturgeon Bay on May 23 and the Washington Island school on May 29. All will be held 5:30-7:30 pm, with a free meal at 5:30 pm and discussion starting at 6 pm.
Advance registration is requested (and required if child care is needed). Register by emailing Chad Welch at [email protected] or online at doorcountyparents.com. Contact Welch if you’d like to volunteer to provide child care or help with the events.
