Michael P. Smith Kicks Off the Woodwalk Concert Series

The 2014 Woodwalk Concert Series opens with Chicago songwriting icon, Michael P. Smith, on June 20 at 7 pm.

Smith has been singing and composing songs since the 1960s and is best known for writing “The Dutchman” which was popularized by Steve Goodman and recorded by many, including the Kingston Trio.”

The show starts at 7 pm with Jeanne Kuhns opening. Concertgoers can come early and picnic, bring a bottle of wine. Doors open at 5:30 pm for those who want to gather early. Tickets are $18 at the door. Beer, soda and snacks, including cupcakes from Cupcake Heaven, will be for sale. The next concert in the series is June 27 with Corky Siegel and Howard Levy.
