Michigan Street Bridge to close March 7 for painting

• The Michigan Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay will close March 7 to complete painting. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to finish the painting project and have the bridge open to traffic by Memorial Day.

• Door Kewaunee Legislative Days will be held in Madison Tuesday and Wednesday, April 12 – 13. The purpose of Legislative Days is to educate state officials about the area and to lobby for state action to help address local issues and concerns.

• The Town of Liberty Grove/ Village of Sister Bay Ad Hoc Negotiating Committee will meet again March 24 for further discussion of a new wastewater treatment plant agreement and structure. The committee consists of Ken Church, Pat Duffy, Administrator Bob Kufrin and Plant Supervisor Steve Jacobson from the village and Frank Forkert, Peter Sauer and Clerk/ Administrator Bud Kalms from the town. The meeting begins at 7 am at the Liberty Grove Town Hall.
