Middle Schooler Wins Essay Contest

Southern Door Middle School seventh-grader Thomas Jackson, the son of Chris and Mary Jackson, won the middle-school division essay contest for Lutherans For Life of Wisconsin. Students throughout the state entered life-affirming essays about issues such as adoption, abortion and the value of life at all ages. Jackson wrote about how Lutherans are pro-life because they “recognize that we are all dependent on God, and we should support those who are dependent on us. We are not different from those infants, disabled and elderly.” He will receive an award certificate and $150 check from Lutherans For Life of Wisconsin.
