Clay Bay Pottery in Ellison Bay is hosting a “Midsِmmar” celebration on Wednesday, June 23 from 10 am – 7 pm. The reception will feature desserts, art, and Swedish toasts to the longest day of the year.
Studio artists Jeanne and David Aurelius have created Midsِmmar-themed pottery in recognition of the traditional Swedish festival. The pottery, including serving platters, dessert plates, and more, incorporate designs based on the Aureliuses’s personal experiences traveling throughout Scandinavia.
Clay Bay also announced the addition of Laura Meddaugh to its roster of artists. Meddaugh’s colorful acrylics capture the delightful side of people and places. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, she has been a painter and art teacher for 30 years.
