Midsummer’s Music Announces 34th Season

Midsummer’s Music’s 2024 season will run June 13 through October with the Autumn Music Fest.

The season is in memory of the organization’s cofounder, flutist, board member and volunteer coordinator Jean Berkenstock. It will feature dozens of concerts performed by world-class musicians from the Chicago Symphony, Chicago’s Lyric Opera, Milwaukee Symphony, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and many more.

Performed throughout Door County, the concerts will include music by favorites like Beethoven, Mozart, Dvořák and Brahms, coupled with pivotal works by their contemporaries, historical women composers and others.

The 2024 summer programs include Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Magic (June 13, 15, 16 and 18); David Perry Leads Mendelssohn Octet—and More! (June 19, 21, 23 and 27); Dvořák and Brahms (June 22 and 28-30); Beethoven, Haydn, and Schumann: Fairy Tales and Ghosts (July 5-7); Bastille Day Celebration (July 11-14); Bach to the Future (July 18, 19 and 21); Grieg Piano Concerto and Jeannie Yu (July 20 and 25-27); Bruch and Brahms (July 28 and Aug. 2-4); Romance and Rapture (Aug. 27, 28 and 31); Beethoven Septet (Aug. 29 and 30, and Sept. 1); and David Perry, Jeannie Yu Chausson Concerto!
