Midsummer’s Music Announces Start of Season

Midsummer’s Music season begins June 8 with “Fantasy and Magic,” and its “red carpet” premiere at Birch Creek Performance Center near Egg Harbor. The premiere promises to deliver a delightfully balanced evening of champagne, chocolate, and the music of Schumann, Kreutzer and Raff. Special guests for the evening include Barbara Lawton, president of the WI Arts Association, and Judy Roy, a Door County poet. The premiere costs $45 a person.

On June 19, there will be a special event where concertgoers may also choose to attend a dinner and reception at the Whistling Swan. The reception begins at 5:30 pm at the restaurant, followed by the concert at Fish Creek Town Hall at 6:30 pm, and finishing with a delectable meal back at the Whistling Swan. The cost the event is $85 a person, or $25 to attend the concert only.

Another event is scheduled for July 10 with dinner being served at the Mission Grille. The concert will follow a reception at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sister Bay at 5:30 pm. Dinner will be served at the Mission Grille at 8:30 pm. The price for this concert is also $85 a person.

These events will be followed by a Labor Day series from August 29 through September 3.
