Midsummer’s Music Concert at The Ridges On Sept. 7

On Sept. 7, starting at 3 pm, people will be able to come to The Ridges’ new Cook-Albert Fuller Center in Baileys Harbor for free guided tours, a catered reception (from Top Shelf), commemorative gifts, a silent auction and a Midsummer’s Music concert. This marks the first time that a public performance will occur in the new facility.

This Labor Day benefit will feature the following music: Quintet in D Major, Opus 42 by Zdenik Fibich, Café Music by Paul Schoenfeld, and Concerto in D Major, Opus 21 by Ernest Chausson.

Jim and Andrea Jauquet are the honorary co-chairs for the event and will greet everyone who comes, and Lisa Flynn from WFMT Chicago will be the program host. Flynn will introduce each piece of music, using her vast knowledge of classical music. She may provide some anecdotes she gleans from some of the musicians.

The proceeds from the event benefit both The Ridges Sanctuary and Midsummer’s Music Festival. For more information and for tickets, visit midsummersmusic.com or call 920.854.7088.
