MIDSUMMER’S MUSIC HIGHLIGHTS 20TH-CENTURY COMPOSERS

Midsummer’s Music will continue its 2022 concert season with an inspiring program of works by 20th-century English classical composers Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, Ralph Vaughn Williams and Charles Villiers Stanford.

Featured musicians include David Perry and Maynie Bradley, violin; Sally Chisholm and Allyson Fleck, viola; and James Waldo, cello. This program will be performed June 16, 7 pm, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sister Bay; June 19, 5 pm, at Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor; June 21, 5 pm, at the historic town hall in Fish Creek, with an optional post-concert dinner at Alexander’s; and June 23, 7 pm, at the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor.

The season’s third program will feature the Griffon String Quartet playing works by Dmitri Shostakovich and Felix Mendelssohn on June 24, 7 pm, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sister Bay; June 25, 7 pm, at Hope United Church of Christ in Sturgeon Bay; June 26, 3 pm, at Sister Bay Moravian Church; and June 30, 7 pm, at the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor.
