On July 14 at 7 pm, student musicians from the Fine Arts Summer Bootcamp 2015 will be treated to a world class music concert by Door County’s Midsummer’s Music ensemble at the Weidner Center in Green Bay.

The members of Midsummer’s Music will not only perform for the students, but they will also have the joy of hearing a performance by the wonderful young people in the Summer Bootcamp program as the two student orchestras will be the opening act for the evening. After the concert the students and audience members will have a chance to meet and mingle with the professional musicians. The concert is open to the public and proceeds will benefit the Fine Arts Institute lesson program.

“This unique experience for the students to perform on a world-class stage and to see and hear the excellent musicianship displayed by Midsummer’s Music is sure to entice and inspire our student musicians,” said Lucinda Roberts, Program Coordinator of the Fine Arts Institute at East High.

The Midsummer’s Music concert experience will be unique in that the students and the audience members will be seated on the stage in close proximity to the performers. Midsummer’s Music will perform the Franz Schubert Quintet, “The Trout,” in A Major, D. 677 and the Ignaz Moschles Grand Septet in D Major, Opus 88.

Tickets are $50. The Weidner Center is located on the campus of University of Wisconsin – Green Bay at 2420 Nicolet Dr. For more information, visit midsummersmusic.com or call 920.854.7088.
