Midsummer’s Music To Present Both In-Person And Virtual Summer Concerts

Midsummer’s Music will present both live, in-person concerts and virtual performances this summer. Beethoven’s most interesting and thrilling works will be a highlight throughout the season to commemorate the 250 years since his birth in December 2020.

The season’s repertoire will also include works resulting from Midsummer Music’s new Emerging Composers Initiative, which adds two fellows – Paul Frucht and Quinn Mason – to its existing composer-in-residence program. Will Healy, Midsummer’s new composer-in-residence, will present the world premiere of a commissioned work.

Tickets will go on sale on or before May 5. Venues will include the Kress Pavilion and Woodwalk Gallery, among others, and more venues may be added if changes in COVID-19 restrictions allow. The full programming – including a new series of outdoor performances – will be announced soon.
