Mighty Mouth Launches DCA’s Concert Season

Mighty Mouth will deliver its wide-ranging, high-energy music to the Door Community Auditorium’s (DCA) Main Stage on June 25, 8 pm, as the first concert of DCA’s 30th-anniversary season.

Mighty Mouth is the bluesy cousin of perennial peninsula favorite Big Mouth that features Jay Whitney, guitar and vocals; Paul Sowinski, bass and vocals; Rich Schelk, keyboards; Bryan Koenig, harmonica and vocals; Danny Lueck, drums; and Pete Thelen, vocals. Special guests Woody Mankowski, saxophone and vocals; and Eli Mattson, piano and vocals, will also join the group for this DCA concert.

As individuals, Mighty Mouth’s members have recorded with blues legends, written a song for a Bollywood movie and played at Lambeau Field; and as a group, these musicians have kept the good-time blues rolling in Door County and beyond.

DCA is operating at a socially distanced 25% capacity, and face masks are required because the auditorium is on the Gibraltar Schools’ campus. All tickets are $30 per person, and advance reservations are recommended. Purchase tickets online at dcauditorium.org; by phone at 920.868.2728; or in person at the DCA box office, 3926 Hwy 42 in Fish Creek, Monday-Friday, 12-5 pm.
