Mihaley Releases Children’s Novel

Jim Mihaley, a Sturgeon Bay native, has written a novel for children entitled You Can’t Have My Planet But Take My Brother, Please. Published by Macmillan on April 10, the book will be available at bookstores everywhere.

This funny novel, which features an environmental theme, would appeal to the Wimpy Kid audience. The story centers on a 13-year-old boy who finds a copy of Earth’s lease signed by Adam and Eve. Because humans have become such lousy tenants, they’re about to get evicted. The boy and his friends must embark on a quest to prove that we humans are actually capable of stewarding the planet.

Mihaley credits Eric Harabes of Egg Harbor for playing a key role in the creation of the book, working as a freelance editor.

Mihaley is currently working on a new children’s book that is set in Door County.
