Mike McCarty Returns to Door County after Middle East Deployment

On April 1, Navy Command Master Chief Mike McCarty returned after a third deployment to the Middle East. His wife, Paula McCarty; and Cal, one of their two sons, picked him up at the Green Bay airport.

Keeping social distancing in mind, a group of friends and family had planned a surprise welcome home: His street was lined with cars, signs and honking horns as he pulled in. His brother, Deputy Sheriff Pat McCarty, escorted him with lights and sirens blaring. 

Mike, a Door County native, is an owner of Baudhuin & Associates in Sturgeon Bay. A video of the homecoming is available on the Let’s Go Door County Facebook page.
