Miss Door County 2008 Visits Peninsula State Park

Every day is exciting at Peninsula State Park’s White Cedar Nature Center, but last Tuesday’s visit by Kimberly Sawyer, Miss Door County 2008, made the day extra special. In addition to being a pageant winner, Kimberly has been a life-long athlete and currently plays college softball. After talking briefly about perseverance and sharing her singing talent with the group, Kimberly demonstrated a softball pitch and some lucky children had an opportunity to play catch with her. A few young visitors even brought their own mitts, baseballs and softballs to be signed by Kimberly.
