More Direct Aid Payments Available to Farmers

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue are providing another round of Farm Support Program direct aid payments to Wisconsin farmers who have experienced economic losses due to COVID-19.
Beginning Nov. 1, the revenue department will send a letter to pre-qualified applicants outlining program details and giving a Letter ID, which is required to complete the application. Farmers with at least $10,000, but less than $5 million, in gross income will receive a letter.
Eligible farmers should apply online at revenue.wi.gov before the deadline of Nov. 29, 4:30 pm. Farmers who do not receive a letter but believe they qualify, those who cannot apply online, and those who speak Spanish or Hmong may request assistance by calling 608.266.2772.
