More than 375 Served at Community Thanksgivng Meal

The 42nd Community Thanksgiving Dinner held at the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church provided more than 375 meals Nov. 25.

“We thank the 50-plus volunteers who worked so hard throughout the week to organize, prepare, cook, peel, carve, deliver, and clean up,” wrote coordinators Duane and Leslie Youngsteadt. “An effort of this magnitude requires teamwork, and we continue to be blessed by many willing workers. Safety required a smaller crew again this year, but we are looking forward to the possibility of welcoming more community volunteers next year.”

The Youngsteadts thanks the anonymous donors and area businesses and organizations that supported the community meal this year, including: Bank of Luxemburg, Forbes Funeral Home, Hatco Corp, Huehns Funeral Home, Greg Kienhau, Jim Olson Motors, Nicolet Bank, North Shore Bank, Pick ‘N Save, Roder Farms, Sully’s Produce, Tadych’s Econo Foods, Tanum Forest Lutheran Church, Walmart, and Young Automotive.
