The Clearing Folk School’s Winter Program classes continue with more than 36 new classes starting in February. Join your neighbors in snowshoeing protected lands with a naturalist guide, paint in watercolor or water-based oils, create a decorative gourd or weave a slim tote basket. Learn about the African American Experience 19th century America. Philosophy topics and topics in medicine will be discussed, as well. Classes continue to be offered and taught by volunteer instructors who generously share their time, along with their considerable talent, with the Door County community.
Class details and descriptions are published online at theclearing.org. Catalogs are also available at the Jens Jensen Visitor Center, 12171 Garrett Bay Road, Ellison Bay, during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 am – 4 pm, or at select racks at area businesses. Registrations are accepted online, in person, via mail, fax or phone and classes are filled on a first come, first registered basis, as space permits.
