Mosling Rec Center Meets 2018 Revenue Challenge

The Washington Island Mosling Rec Center and W.I. Foundation have met the 2018 Revenue Challenge that anonymous donors put before them and will receive about $55,000 in unrestricted funds. The challenge was to double the revenue of the Rec Center compared to its 2016 figure and to “increase community awareness and to promote exercise and wellness through community participation in [the Rec’s] programs and classes.”

Among other initiatives to accomplish the goal, Rec Center leadership increased the number of paid memberships and guest passes, added Challenge memberships and events such as the 30-for-30 Challenges, offered established and new classes, held a community health fair with the Washington Island Community Health Program, conducted the Rec Run and provided additional activities for children.
