Mother’s Day Wildflower Hike at Crossroads

Celebrate Mother’s Day at Crossroads at Big Creek on May 10 with a Wildflower Hike. Join the naturalist in a one-hour hike to look for spring wildflowers. The whole family is invited for easy hiking. The hike is free and open to the public.

The Friends of Crossroads have planned an Earth Day Work Day on May 12 (Crossroads celebrates Earth Day at least five times in May). All are invited to join other volunteers to repaint the benches in the amphitheater and throughout the preserve. Starting at 10 am, volunteers will wash, sand and prep the benches. The paint party starts at 3 pm and, unless we are under a burning ban, the Earth Day Work Day will end with a cookout at the Council Ring. All are welcome. Wear work clothes and meet at the Collins Learning Center for assignments.

Crossroads is a donor-supported preserve welcoming learners of all ages to activities in science, history and the environment. The Collins Learning Center, located at 2041 Michigan in Sturgeon Bay, is open 2 – 4:30 pm daily and during scheduled events.
