Municipal Meetings: July 28 – Aug. 4

DOOR COUNTY

City of Sturgeon Bay:  The common council meets at noon Aug. 1. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board meets at 4:30 pm Aug. 1.

County of Door:  The Highway Safety Commission meets at 9 am Aug. 3. The Resource Planning Committee meets at 2 pm Aug. 3.

Joint Meeting: A joint meeting of the town boards of Clay Banks, Forestville, Nasewaupee, Village of Forestville and the Southern Door Fire Dept. Board will be held at 7 pm on Aug. 2 at the Southern Door Fire Dept., Forestville. The agenda calls for looking at the recent Tagge Road fire response and protocol for fire calls.

Town of Forestville:  The town hall will not be available for use between July 25 and Aug. 6 due to a major remodeling project.

Town of Gibraltar:  Special meeting of electors will be held at 6 pm Aug. 2, followed by a town board meeting at 7 pm.

Town of Jacksonport:  The town is seeking applications for the part-time position of Town Clerk/Treasurer with an average 20-hour work week (salary plus meeting per-diems). Qualifications:  Associate degree in business, human resources, or accounting or comparable work experience in one of these areas is required; valid Wisconsin driver’s license (must be bondable); Three to five years of experience in financial management, budget preparation, accounting, personnel or administration. Working knowledge of government budgeting, finance, public relations preferred. Strong oral and written communications skills. Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Working knowledge of QuickBooks a plus. Village of Egg Harbor:  The Parks & Public Works Committee meets at 8:30 am Aug. 2.

Village of Sister Bay:  The Parks Committee meets at 2:30 pm Aug. 3.

KEWAUNEE COUNTY 

City of Algoma:  The Protection of Persons & Property Committee meets at 4 pm July 31.

County of Kewaunee:  The Finance Committee meets at 5 pm Aug. 1, followed by the county board at 6 pm. The Extension and Zoning Committee meets at 3 pm Aug. 2.

Town of Red River:  The Plan Commission meets at 7:30 pm Aug. 2.
