Municipal Meetings: May 12 – 19

DOOR COUNTY

City of Sturgeon Bay: The Parking & Traffic Committee meets at 3:30 pm on May 15. The common council meets at noon on May 16. The Plan Commission meets at 6 pm on May 17 to hold a public hearing on a request from the landowner at 608 E. Walnut Drive to be removed from the Floodfringe District.

County of Door: The Law Enforcement Committee meets at 10:30 am on May 15. The Finance Committee meets at 2 pm on May 15. The Library Board meets at 5 pm on May 15. The Administrative Committee meets at 8:30 am on May 16. The EMS Committee meets at noon on May 16. The Land Conservation Committee meets at 8:30 am on May 18. The Resource Planning Committee meets at 2 pm on May 18. The Senior Services Advisory Committee/Nutrition Council meets at 9 am on May 19.

Town of Brussels: Board of Review will be held at 6:30 pm on May 18.

Town of Egg Harbor: The town board meets at 7 pm on May 15.

Town of Gibraltar: The Parks and Lands Committee meets at 8 am on May 16. The Harbor Commission meets at 7:30 am on May 17. The Airport Commission meets at 9 am on May 18.

Town of Liberty Grove: The town board meets at 7 pm on May 16.

Town of Sevastopol: The town board meets at 7 pm on May 15.

Town of Union: Donations of books in good condition are sought for the new library (no DVDs, VCR tapes or cookbooks, please). The drop-off date is Saturday, May 20, between noon and 2 pm. Drop-off site is Town of Union Community Center & Town Hall, 905 County DK, Brussels.

Village of Egg Harbor: The Utility Committee meets at 10 am on May 17. A Joint Fire Commission meeting will be held at 7 pm on May 18.

Village of Forestville: The Planning Commission meets at 5:30 pm on May 18, followed by the village board.

Village of Sister Bay: The Finance Committee meets at 5 pm on May 16, followed by the village board at 6 pm.

KEWAUNEE COUNTY

City of Algoma: The Library Board meets at 4 pm on May 15. The Community Development Committee meets at 6 pm on May 15. The Marina Committee meets at 5:30 pm on May 16. The Utility Committee meets at 5 pm on May 17. The Finance/Personnel Committee meets at 8:30 am on May 18. The Planning Commission meets at 6 pm on May 18.

City of Kewaunee: After an extensive search, the City of Kewaunee has appointed Fred Schnook as its new City Administrator. Fred started on May 1. He has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and is working on his PhD in Urban Affairs, was the executive director for a number of organizations, and previously served as Mayor of Ashland, Wis.

County of Kewaunee: The Finance Committee meets at 5:30 pm on May 16, followed by the county board at 6 pm. The Kewaunee County Economic Development Corp. meets at 8 am on May 18 at the Bank of Luxemburg. The Highway Committee meets at 10:30 am on May 18.
